Strong Customer Authentication

Hello,

In the context of SCA, when the Host requests to restart the transaction in order to use the contact interface (the host sends a special answer code in BMP39 in case of ISO-8583), in this case what should be the behaviour of the terminal if the card used during the second retry (using contact) is not the same (not the same AID). In other words, could the terminal candidate list contain other candidates besides the candidate used during the first transaction.

Thanks

Hi Carthage,

In the context on SCA, when the issuer host promoted the terminal to switch to contact interface by answering DE039 =1A (ISO8583-V1987) OR DE039=103(ISO8583-V1993) and also decline the transaction.

Since the previous transaction is decided, if you use the same card or different card it will consider it as new transaction and proced as per the new transaction rules.

Let me know is it the answer that you are looking for.

Thank and regards
